Product Line Manager

The Product Line Manager will be responsible for growing the designated capacitor product line profitably, driving internal and external resources for the fulfillment of customer requirements, gathering inputs from customers and field to drive product roadmap planning and implementation.

The candidate is expected to drive Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, General Management, and Engineering to ensure the overall success of their product line.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue and profit margin growth for the product line.
  • Drive internal and external resources to support customer product fulfillment and to solve customer issues in a timely manner.
  • Advocate for excellence in line performance:
    • Timely quotations 
    • Line efficiency 
    • On time delivery 
    • Defect-free product
  • Work with the sales team to achieve design wins at target customers.
    • Engage with customers, engineering, sales, customer service, and factory for the delivery of quotations, samples, and information in support of new business development
  • Prepare/track bookings and shipments forecasts and work closely with operations team on production and SIOPS planning
  • Develop product roadmap that outlines short and long-term strategies for product line.
  • Communicate the value proposition of the products/capabilities to sales representatives and customers
  • Monitor competitive products and capabilities as input to new product/capabilities development
  • Coordinate resources to deliver product improvements, new products, and capabilities to meet current and emerging market needs.
  • Work with Product Marketing to develop assets and sales tools to facilitate the selling of their product lines
  • Supervise Product Specialist

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or technical discipline
  • Experience with custom product pricing and manufacturing
  • Ability to comprehend, summarize, and communicate customer requirements and business justification across internal and external customers.
  • Technical understanding of product specifications 
  • Self-driven, results oriented, and virtual management skills.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong PC skills; competency with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Ability to travel up to 25%+ of the time.
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours.

One element in our total compensation package is base pay. The starting base pay for this role is $100,000 to $140,000 per year.
 
Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to previous experience and skills acquired prior to joining us, cost of living in the assigned work location, assigned schedule, and salaries of similarly situated peers at the company. It is to be expected that candidates will come to us with different sets of skills and experiences and therefore will be paid at different points in the stated range.
